Kona Kase October 2013 Review

Nom..Nom.. I honestly think Kona Kase is my favorite food subscription!

Each Kona Kase has an assortment of premium nutrition samples from gels to bars to granola and more. This is my 4th month with Kona Kase and Probably my favorite one thus far!

The Box: Kona Kase

The Cost: $15 a month

The Products: Fitness, Nutrition and Supplement samples.

Kind - Oats & Honey Cluster Granola

I love granola! I mix it with yogurt in the morning for breakfast a few days a week, and even have it sometimes as a late night snack!

Scratch Labs - Pineapple Hydration Mix

This sounds good. Im getting ready to start back on my fitness routine, so this will come in handy on my 6 mile bike ride!

Banana - Chewy Banana Bites

One of the reasons I subscribe to these monthly boxes, is to try out fun, good-for-you snacks like THIS! I love bananas, but ive never had chewy dried bananas! These are really fun, they remind me of banana bread, they have a rich natural flavor and the perfect amount of chewiness. I would actually buy these! YUM!

Honey Stinger - Lemon Waffle

Wow, this was soooo yummy!!! It looked like a round waffle and tasted like Honey & Lemon. I cant even explain how unique and delicious this was. I WANT MORE!

Musette - Bernie Biscuit?

I wasnt sure about this.. There wasnt much info on the package so I didnt know the flavor or even what exactly this was! ...But I ended up eating one with my coffee and it was so perfect. Like a soft sweet, almond buscatti/cookie. Mmm.

Flapjacked - Banana Hazelnut Protein Pancake Mix

Another winner! It just so happened that my boyfriend had a few days off and wanted pancakes for breakfast. I used half the package to try them out... at first I wasnt sure if these were going to be good because the batter didnt smell great. But Man.. these were awesome! I cooked them in coconut oil and used organic maple syrup. I ended up making them again the next morning and finished off the bag.

Powerbar - Pear Apple Energy Blend

Ive had several of these and while they are not my favorite supplement, they are effective and do taste good! This will be another item handy for a pre-work out boost!

This is definitely my favorite Kona Kase so far! I was really pleased with the variety.

Kona Kase August 2013 Review & Coupon Code

I was really looking forward to Kona Kase, this month, I feel like I ate up all my goodies from the previous box in the first 2 weeks, and I have been craving something new to snack on! -Perfect timing!

The Box: Kona Kase

The Cost: $15 a month

COUPON: Use code FF2 to save $5 off your first box!

The Products: Fitness, Nutrition and Supplement samples.

Everything in this box except the almond butter was BRAND NEW to me. I had never even heard of some of these companies or products. So it was really cool to get them and be able to try them out!

Krave Jerky- Chili Lime

This was probably the best jerky ive ever had. It was all one large piece, super moist and flavorful.

BioTrust- Chocolate Chip Cookie

I recently started eating less gluten so to get a gluten free chocolate chip protein cookie in my box was awesome!! It wasnt the best cookie, but it was good, and I def ate it all!

Rise Bar- Almond Honey

This was a completely new brand/product to me... This tiny little bar was 130 calories! It couldnt have been more than 2" long! It did have 9 grams of protein though. It would be perfect to throw in ur bag on a busy day. It was kind of dry, and then melted a bit in ur mouth. -Was actually really good.

Justin's- Classic Almond Butter

This was the only item in the box Ive tried before, I actually LOVE Justin's brand Almond Butter. Its the only nut butter I use! -It is a bit pricey at $8+ a jar but Im obsessed, and im really happy to get a sample so I can take it with me one day on the go!

Quest Bar- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

This bar was literally like eating dry cookie dough. It actually made me sick and I had to toss the rest.

LaraBar- Blueberry Muffin

This bar was really rich, it didnt even taste like blueberries for some reason, I was not a fan of this either and ending up throwing it away as well.

Greenola- Raisin Coconut

This was the most interesting thing in my box this month. I really love kale & coconut so to see them mixed with raisins in this faux granola concoction was odd. But I ended up really loving it! It was crunchy & chewy & sweet .. and just really good. I wouldn't add this to yogurt like a oat or seed granola, but it was perfectly delicious on its own. I'm kinda bummed there was no website on the card.

This was my first Food Subscription Box and I was so excited to get it.

When I found out about subscription boxes I did major research to make sure I subscribed to the best ones and got the best price!

The Box: Kona Kase

The Cost: $15 a month

COUPON: Use code FF2 to save $5 off your first box!

The Products: Fitness, Nutrition and Supplement samples.

Kona Kase delivers 7-8+ healthy snacks to you each month.

Over the past few years I have transitioned from eating really poor quality foods to organic/gluten-free. I love that boxes like this are out there to introduce me to new products & provide me with snacks to try before I make a purchase.

Caveman Cookies- Made from only Honey, Nuts & Berries.

These cookies are very different from regular cookies, they were slightly moist and lightly sweet. I really loved that they are all-natural, grain-free, preservative-free, dairy-free & naturally sweetened. These cookies are perfect with coffee!

Barbara Llewellyn Granola-

I absolutely love granola. This stuff was amazing, I loved that it had more of a seedy variety opposed to other brands. I put this entire package in my morning yogurt and It was divine!
to order email info@barbarallewellen.com

Pro Bar- Blot organic chews.

These awesome little gummy chews are loaded with electrolytes, B vitamins, antioxidants & complex carbs! This was in the running for my favorite item in the box, this is the first product ive gotten in a subscription box that I KNOW I will purchase! They were so good! Im kinda bummed that I had to share them with my mom, but it was fun trying something new with her. She loved them equally, and Im definitely going to surprise her with some when I order.

Enjoy Life- Seed & Fruit mix
This was a great snack, I loved that there were little bits of chocolate in there.

Perky Jerky- Flavored with Guarana

I didnt like this at all. I dont eat a lot of meat, but I decided to at least try it. It had a very strong flavor and I couldnt eat more than a bite.

This was really interesting. It was Espresso flavor but way too strong to enjoy, it was also really gritty. -This went in the trash.

Health Warrior- Acai Berry Chia Bar

I was really excited to try this, I love chia seeds and already eat them daily so this product was very interesting to me. ha, ha. It was horrible. I loved the texture. I was chewy & crunchy, But I HATED the Acai flavor. It was too powerful to eat, I had to toss it. Bummer. I did look at their website, and they seem to have a nice selection of flavors, I feel like I have to use the coupon so I may just try out

Garuka Bars- Raw Honey, Cranberry Peanut Bar.

This was my favorite item in the box! Not only was it the most delicious tasting nut bar i've ever had. but the company is equally amazing!

WHAT'S A GARUKA?

Garuka Bars® is named after one of the few remaining mountain gorillas ranging the volcanic forests of the Virunga Massif in Rwanda. Garuka needs protection and you need all-natural energy. We’re working on both. Our bars are packed full of simple, wholesome ingredients, and a percentage of each sale goes towards gorilla conservation.

If you go to their website you can get a free sample of this bar if you just pay the $1 shipping. Please tell them that SerinaSophia told you about them :)
